DIYP #27-Celebrating the New Year

DIYP.jpg

One of my favorite flea market finds is an old piece of metal with a slap of blue paint and a warm wish:
It’s hung by some simple wire on my front porch. On the back of the sign?  I painted it pink with a Valentine’s wish; I just flip it over!
Christmas is over and my decor is finally put away. But my door looked so bare.
I usually put this cute winter wreath up.
It needed a little something.
I grabbed some leftover Christmas ribbon and a white plate from my china hutch.
I attached the plate in the center of the wreath with the wire ribbon.
And used a dry erase marker to wish all who enter a Happy New Year!

What a great idea!! Do you secure it somehow so it does not bang when the door is open and shut by eager young hands?
