It took years and lots of baby steps. I lean towards the stuff that allows me to save money too.<br /><br />We're big on not wasting things like food and I'm big on fixing things or finding a creative reuse for things before they hit the trash/recycling bin. I clean with a spray bottle full of vinegar (cheap!), I ditched most disposables (paper plates, napkins, paper towels, etc.) EXCEPT TP (no, no, no!), I made a compost bin out of trash can. I cut my electricty use by 32% last year by changing habits and cheap DIY projects. I blog about my projects on Condo Blues.
