I would choose either our last name, new baby first name or the word Romantical for the master bedroom.
I’m attempting to be original (ha!!). I’d most likely want to spell my last name. But then again… maybe JOY or HOME or something “emotional” like that. I’d have a hard time making a final decision and probably end up with… MILLER.

I wish it was easy…
I would probably spell “Laugh” because our family laughs a lot together. I have a few different things around the house (blocks, a pillow, etc) with that word painted or embroidered on them because sometimes laughter is what keeps us from going off the deep end. A kid has a ridiculous tantrum? Laugh, because the other option is crazy anger or frustration at their ridiculousness. Everything’s going wrong today? Laugh, and know that tomorrow’s a new chance. I’d spell laugh.

What great art pieces. If I were to have one done I would have it read FAMILY TREE and display it with our family photos in the hallway. My kids call it the family tree because we’ve got as far back as their great-great-great grandparents displayed (and our last name is Wood so it all goes together).

How cool! I’ve seen these before and love the idea. There are so many words that would be fun to spell, Love, Pray, Family, our last name. The list goes on and on!

FYI…we took photos of all the kids and grandkids holding letters in different creative ways and put them together on a posterboard for my Dad for his birthday, Spelling out Happy Birthday Pappy! (what our kids call Grandpa). We had just enough people to each have our own letter and then made his beloved dog the exclamation mark. Some examples are: My daughter hung upside down on the trapeeze with her letter, my son (who was being potty trained at the time) sat on the toilet with his letter (which just happened to be the letter P…my Dad loves that type of crazy humor) and another one held their letter up at the swimming pool while in the water (with goggles, none the less). It made a great “card” and he loved showing it off at work. Just thought you might like this idea and you might find a way to add your own crafty spin on it!
