I found this darling William Sonoma castle cake pan at a thrift store.
It retailed for over $30 and I got it for just a couple of dollars!
Today is my Mom’s birthday. In an uncharacteristic move, I offered to make the cake from scratch.

I added brown sugar around the cake for sand and a few shells from my daughter’s seashell collection:
I made the flags with paper and toothpicks!
