We have minimized, reduced and cut back Christmas this year, but with 2 birthdays and an anniversary this week of Christmas, we are busy.
The last thing I want to give up is our family dinner time. I’m not worried. Why, you ask? Because I’ve been stocking up my freezer with Homemade Gourmet!
A few weeks ago, I was sent a huge assortment of dinner mixes and seasonings. I wasn’t really familiar with this system, but it’s easy to learn. There are several options, but my favorite is the 4 Meals in 4 Minutes.

It’s so simple, my nearly 10 year old, prepared nearly two weeks worth of meals! (Each ziplock contains 3 pounds of meat (pork, beef or chicken). You can slow cook, bake or grill. You cook all the meat, but only use half.

We could so use some of these. My brother and his wife just had a baby boy 2 weeks ago. They had to fly him to Arkansas Children's Hospital from Portland, OR because he needs a heart transplant. After being at the hospital all day it is hard to come home and think about eating let alone cooking for all of us. We are so glad they are here though and that we can love on them and help to meet their needs.

A long time ago I used to prepare and freeze a whole months worth of meals. It really made everything so much easier! Since adding 3 more kids to the mix, I haven't kept up and I really need to get back into doing this again. I'm going to check out the site. This is an awesome give-away!

This would be so useful for us right now! My husband cooks and I clean. But he has a sports injury that put in him in the hospital. I took over the cooking detail but homemade meals went out the window when he was in the hospital because I had to be there with him as much as possible. He's home now, but still healing. Having some homemade quick cook meal options in the freezer would help me out greatly!
