Frenemy

The Cat Vs. The Dog

Every night, after we tuck our kids in bed, my hubby and I settle in and watch our dog and cat try and coexist. It’s hilarious.

Until this happens:

(I heard a crash LITERALLY 5 minutes before I hit publish on this post!)

Friend+enemy=Frenemy

“Frenemy” is a portmanteau of “friend” and “enemy” which can refer to either an enemy disguised as a friend or to a partner who is simultaneously a competitor and rival.

That is so cute. We have two dogs and two cats so just imagine our fun times. Is your dog a schnoodle? It looks just like one of our dogs!

Oh any up date on your shoe drive?

Too cute. We recently brought a new chihuahua/pekingese mix puppy (Riley) into our 2-cat home. It was horrible the first few days, but they’re slowly adjusting. Our old (fat, snooty) cat, Harley, just ignores Riley now. But, Willow gets a little freaked by her still, and Riley takes full advantage of it, lol. They’re totally loving to hate each other right now!

My sister also just got a new puppy and he plays like a dream with her cat. They’re like long-lost brothers or something. Rolling around in the floor together, sharing their little puppy/kitty bed. It’s adorable!

Oh my goodness that’s hilarious! Yeah, been there / done that! I don’t understand how anyone can have a house with decorative (read that as breakable) “stuff” on the coffee table (or ANY table, really) while they have children or pets that can pull decorative fabric in a tug-o-war fashion. Please don’t ask how I know this.

That is SO our house. The pet door is to the basement (not to the garage) but just the same…..the fights, the battles. If world peace begins at home, I can see why we’re in trouble based on our animal’s behavior alone.

This must be why our kitty is an only kitty. :-)
