Be a Part of Something Beautiful {Giveaway}

UPDATE: Liz (comment 18) & Kirsten (comment 32) have been randomly selected as the winners of this giveaway.

I don’t believe every Christian in the world is supposed to adopt.

But I believe we are all called to do something to care for the poor and defend orphans.

One amazing way to do that is by giving financially or shopping a worthy cause.

The Adopt Shoppe has been a long-time advertiser on my blog, with the purpose of the shop to help bring one little baby boy home.

I’m happy to announce that is happening very soon! The Adopt Shoppe will be closing soon, so here’s your last chance to help support a great cause.

From The Adopt Shoppe FB page: With our impending travel to Taiwan to pick up Maddox, I’ve decided to shut down my shop for an indefinite period of time on Saturday, August 25, 2012. We are still $2,000 short and I will still be taking orders in my shop through next Friday. They will be shipped out within 14 days of placing your order.

In celebration of one more orphan finding his forever home, today I’m giving away two $25 gift certificates to The Adopt Shoppe.

Beautiful freshwater pearl and hemp bracelets:

I love this inspirational print in the Shoppe:

Step into someone’s story and make a difference today. Welcome Max home in the comments and that will be your entry!

This giveaway ends on Thursday.

Awesome! Friday will be the last day for the appeal and then we get to move forward with our 3 sweeties’ adoption too. I can’t imagine how hard it would be for Maddox’s mama to be away from him right now. Praying for her.

What great news for that family! I love adoption stories. We have two stories of our own that demonstrate God’s faithfulness to hear the desires of our heart and create a family.

Beautiful — the fact that this special little boy will be coming to his forever family so soon and the wonderful shop to raise the money to make it happen.

We are waiting to adopt and the Our Story print would be perfect for our little one’s nursery, though the necklaces are beautiful too!

Dear Maddox ~ Your story represents THE STORY of God’s love for His children! We are adopted……grafted into His family just because He loves us! May you always feel the unconditional love of your family here on earth, but even more, the eternal love of your Father in Heaven! Blessings on your journey home to the arms of those eagerly awaiting!

  16. says

My husband was adopted by his maternal grandparents when his birth mom (who was just fourteen when he was born) couldn’t take care of him on her own. I grew up in Africa as a third-culture-kid. Adoption is definitely in our hearts.

Welcome home to your forever family, Max!

Oh my goodness! What a doll Max is. So happy for you. I wish I was still young enough to adopt a child. However, I am perfectly happy with my son and hope for grandchildren (and adopted would be fabulous).

I am so happy this sweet little boy is getting a new home. I was adopted as a baby and am so thankful for the wonderful parents who chose me.

  28. Doreen says

I have been thinking about this topic quite a bit lately. I have a friend who is experiencing some fertility issues. She had said that adoption would only be a last resort. Without thinking I asked her why. Her response was strange. “There’s nothing like having your own. Well, ?I have two of my own and a couple of bonus”step” kids that I Love equally and completely. I pray a blessing over you in this process as you receive your precious gift from God!

  29. Maria says

May the Lord bless and keep you and make His face shine upon you all the days of your life.
