Moms Loving Moms {Limited Edition Giveaway}

momslovingmoms
Congrats to random winner, Tracy.
I became a mother thirteen years ago. I spent five years before that longing to be one. Little did I know eighteen-something years ago, I would get to connect moms here with moms in Kenya through my mom blog. It’s one of my greatest honors.

So, motherhood is sort of my thing.

We now have 11 moms, 8 babies and 3 on the way in Kenya and hundreds and hundreds of moms in the USA and Canada and other countries who make their residence at Mercy House possible. It’s mind-boggling, really. And it’s just proof of a great big God.

For a very limited time, you can bless your mom or a m0m in your life, by purchasing one of our unique mother/daughter necklace sets, designed specifically to benefit Mercy House Kenya this Mother’s Day.

Set includes both necklaces for $44  Buy Here.

These are beautiful! I know about the longing to be a mom and the joy that comes with witnessing God’s faithfulness. We adopted our daughter as a newborn. She turns 6 in less than a month. Even though we don’t share any DNA, she’s so much like me. It’s in these details I’m reminded God heard the desire of my heart and continues to show his faithfulness.

    Lauren C says

My mom is my best friend – cliche as that is. She is strong and steady yet cares for my brothers and I (and our spouses!) as fiercely now as she did when we were small.

    Beautiful work!

    says

These are beautiful! The mother-daughter relationship is so special! My mom is my best friend which is why I felt so blessed to have a girl 5 months ago. Her baptism was last Sunday and this would have been an amazing gift for her to cherish forever. From an only child who expected to have difficulty conceiving, the birth of my son changed my world and the birth of my daughter made me feel complete!

  4. 7

    Kelly M says

My Mom and I live on opposite sides of the country so we don’t get to see each other very often. These would be so fun and special to have to wear and think about one another!

  5. 10

    Brenda T says

My daughter is the joy of my life. We struggled with infertility for 6 years, became foster parents, fostered 8 kids over 3 1/2 years until we finally adopted our beautiful daughter 3 years ago. She was worth the wait.

  6. 12

    says

I’m “Mama” to a terrific little boy, and maybe someday, we’ll have a little girl, too. But being a mom has made me realize over and over again what a heroine MY mom truly was and is. She raised me and my younger brother without the support of a “village.” Would love to give her the gift of this necklace.

My mom and I live many states away from each other and I rarely get to see her. I moved away from home because I really believe that God was calling me to serve in the city where i now live. I trust that my work will be blessed and my family understands my calling. <3

  10. 17

Parenting my daughters is the hardest task I’ve ever undertaken. They challenge me daily to be the kind of woman I want them to be. They are my answers to prayers for patience and I’m so very thankful God has trusted me with them!

  11. 18

My mom is my hero. For someone to tell me I’m like her is the highest compliment. She loves The Lord, her family and those around her with a selflessness that is astounding. I myself have two daughters. I never expected to have one daughter, let alone two. They are amazing. They are captivating. They make me laugh. They make me grow. They remind me everyday my total dependence on Him so I can give them the very best.

  17. 25

    Rachel says

    These are so beautiful.

My daughters are so incredibly amazing. They are fallible, of course, but I love them so completely. When I think of my daughters and how much I love them, and how I would love them still if they made an incredibly life changing decision and the young girls that you are ministering to don’t have what my girls would have…. well, I’m so proud of you for listening to the Lord. I’m so proud of you for saying yes when no rolls off the tongue so easily. You are making such a big impact.

  26. 41

    Beth says

I have a poor relationship with my mother, so when I found out my second child would be a girl, I was terrified. I didn’t want to repeat the past. I was afraid I would wreck her the way I had been wrecked. Amazingly, that little girl is now 8 and my best friend. We are close beyond anything I could have dreamed of, a bond that will never break. I can’t imagine life without her and thank God for her (and her older brother) everyday.

  27. 42

  28. 43

    Erin H. says

Oh I would love to win these! I have one beautiful daughter – she is almost 7 years old and has one older brother and two younger brothers. She is a lot like me – she loves to get her hands dirty, but wants to do it wearing a princess dress. :-) She would love a necklace and would love it even more if we had coordinating necklaces. Her birthday often falls on Mother’s Day, though this year it is the day before. It would be a wonderful birthday gift for her.

Have a fabulous trip Kristen. Praying for you all!

She’s the most beautiful person I have ever seen, and I can’t wait to see what gifts, talents God has for her in her adult life. It’s like opening a present from God to watch her grow up each day.

No two females have made me the woman I am more than my mother and my daughter. I am incredibly blessed to have enjoyed a close relationship with Mom my whole life, and now to have a daughter who craves closeness with me. I don’t take that for granted. God is faithful!

  33. 50

    Shannon says

My daughters bring so much joy to my life! After going through chemo at 17, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to have kids, but God protected my fertility through the chemo, and I have two beautiful daughters. Being a mom has made me appreciate my own mom so much more! She is so giving and caring. If I win, I don’t know who would get the mom necklace and who would get the daughter necklace! (I guess if I wore the mom one, I’d need to buy another daughter one so each of my girls had one.)

  34. 51

    Nancy Cornwell says

Last year my mom showed us how truly amazing she is by battling breast cancer with the most grace and joy -yes, joy!- that I’ve ever seen. Now she’s healthy with no sign of cancer and spends several days a week loving on my two beautiful daughters. This would make an amazing gift for her.

  35. 52

    Frances says

Beautiful! I would love to be able to gift the necklaces to my mum and my daughter and have the bracelet for me. My mother is such an inspiration to me, she raised 3 of us on her own and showed us what loving and depending on the Lord looks like. My daughter is almost 2 and inspires me to enjoy each moment as she does and has brought me so much joy. I’d also love to win because I can’t order them on the site (it says you don’t ship to canada)

Getting to be the mommy of my two little girls has been the best thing that ever happened to me. Because of them I’m a better person. I know God on a whole new level because of my love for them I better understand his love and discipline for me. I knew my life would change but I didn’t understand how much and how much better and more full it would become because of two beautiful, smart, funny, strong little girls. I am a blessed mommy.

My two little girls are also amazing to me, one is a nurturing little teacher/mother hen to her little brother, the other is a social butterfly, always cracking us up and adding little rays of sunshine to our days. Her battle with CF doesn’t seem to fizz on her. The Lord has given her the strength and grace for the trials.( How can three people be so different and yet all be some of my favorite people in the world?) Thanks Lord for Mother’s day, that I can honour my mother and have the honour of being a mother.

My daughter is Samantha, but we call her Sami. This used to drive my mom crazy because she was the first granddaughter after 4 grandsons and “we gave her a boy’s name!” She is 15 now and I love her to pieces! I needed that little girl to help me to deal with her 3 brothers. I can’t imagine my life without her. :-)

We are picking up the pieces together, but I thank God every day that my mom has been a good example of what women should not put up with. I would love to win this set because it is helping those in Africa (my #1 place to go someday) and I know it would be a heartwarming item for my mom to have.

I have 2 girls – my oldest turned 11 on April 1st and she is SUCH a blessing (as is my youngest, who is 3 1/2). My oldest daughter was the product of a bad relationship…..long story, BUT GOD! When she was 3, I met my husband, who adopted her and made her so proud to have her very own daddy! She is acutely aware that God redeemed both of us and that He has blessed her life and calls her by name! She has said many times that she feels called to the mission field. I have no doubt that God has a great calling on her life.
One of the special symbols that we have is sparrows – the song, “His Eye Is On The Sparrow” is so special to us! this necklace reminds me of her and even if I don’t win it, I hope to be able to purchase a set for a special gift for her soon!

They are smart, beautiful, and so full of life! And funny too. My oldest is playing doctor at the moment and is using a toy snake for a stethoscope. Good thing her patient is full of stuffing or she might just give it a heart attack!

My mom is amazing. She gave a kidney to a total stranger, just because she felt called to do it. I miss her a lot, as we currently live 2000 miles away. Phone calls just aren’t the same as in-person visits.

Both necklaces are beautiful! My mother is one of my closest and dearest friends in my life and my daughter is still young but I look forward to her growing and having a special mom/daughter bond!

My mom and I are not close, better to say strained at best. But my little 5 year old girl is a new chance at that kind of relationship and I am determined to have it with God in the lead of us. This set would be just perfect as she steps away from me to start kindergarten this next year. So pretty and so perfect to help others and in turn build something special here as well.

There is a beautiful woman at my church who has been such a blessing to me as a woman & mother, but also to my family as a Godly ‘gramma’. I’ve been looking for something unique for her and I really think she would love this!

Oh to choose….I love my mom! She is my prayer warrior. If I need to be lifted up, I call her. As to my daughters, I now have three. My oldest is 15 and more beautiful inside and out every single day. My 11 year old is our little athlete with a tender heart and loving Jesus. My newest.daughter is 12 and from Kenya. She is a joy with a long way to go in learning about America and Jesus. I love them all.

I’m blessed with three boys. But I have the most awesomest mother in law a wife could ever want! I’ve learned so much from her and am so grateful for her unconditional love she has shown me. I hope I can teach my kids half of what she has taught me. And I thought mother in laws had a bad reputation!

My daughter is a miracle that started out with a lot of sisapointment and turn oil. Not for me but from my community and church and family. I also found a lot of love and support. My boyfriend of 6 monthsand I were making some not do good decisions and we got pregnant. He didn’t know if he wanted to get married. I continued to live with my grand parents even after my daughter Isabella was born. I knew I wanted her from day 1 no matter what happened between her dad and I. We changed our ways and I began praying for my boyfriends salvation. I told him I fidnt plan on taking our daughter to church alone do he would go. Then one day 7 mos later god awnsered my prayers Andre was saved during a church service. Two months later we were married and now my daughter not only has mommy and daddy but she is four and has a one yr old brother. Praise god ;)

These are adorable and gorgeous at the same time! LOVE THEM!

My daughter (10) and I had a girls weekend away last weekend and we decided to get Mother/Daughter necklaces (she had wanted one from a teeny-bopper jewelry store) and we agreed to look on etsy but none felt just right. When I came across this post today, I knew why none of the other necklaces felt like the right ones – they simply weren’t.

I have a huge heart for Africa (my husband and I would love to adopt from there someday soon) and what you are doing blesses my heart so much!

My daughter is 2 and has fought for her life many times. She has seen every specialist and been misdiagnosed constantly. She loves necklaces and I would love to have a matching necklace with her. She is my little miracle and by Gods grace she still gets to call me mommy! It would be a blessing to win!

Praying for your ministry in Kenya! What amazing work!
