Mercy Ink {Giveaway}

Congrats to random commenter #68, Carol Darden!

My first job in high school was in a Hallmark, sorting cards and secretly reading every one of them.

I have an unhealthy love for paper and pencils and I read the Thesaurus FOR FUN.

My walls have signs and slogans and Scripture. I love words on pillows and t-shirts. I love reading books filled with words.

And most of all, I love writing words down.

Words are powerful.

Mercy Ink is a sweet Etsy shop, and the story behind the words is awesome. Lauren Mills, is the ordinary gal behind the Mercy Ink  shop + blog. Lauren and her husband, Adrian, a youth pastor, have been married for nearly eight years and have three littles at home, ages 2, 4, and 6. In January 2013, after waiting on the call for more than seven years, the Mills began the process of adopting from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Right now 100% of the shop profits benefit their adoption fund. [so thank you in advance for supporting this little family!]

Today, I’m giving away $50 to this great shop. Check it out and tell me which words speak to you.

I love the “He can move mountains” print. We’re trusting God to move some big mountains for us in what has been a particularly difficult year. I know He can and will! Sometimes it’s good to have a reminder right in front of your face. :)

    Kara says

Wow – they’re all so inspirational, but I would have to go with one of the Jeremiah 29:11 ones – such a wonderful verse, presented so beautifully. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

  22. 62

    RLR says

Oh, they are all lovely! My favorites are Fruit of the Spirit (I once had the idea to do a wall of canvases painted with each of these, but I’m not so artsy…), Strong and Courageous (I’d put it in my son’s room), and the Mary Tyler Moore Brave quote (for my daughter’s room). Thanks for sharing this shop with us – I’m adding it to my favorites!

  23. 64

  24. 65

I love words to frame! If I had a cabin, I would snatch up the “night night” print and put it in the kids’ room. I don’t, so I would go with the adoption one…we are on the edge of starting a domestic adoption, and it’s good to have this verse in my face and heart!

  25. 67

I love the adoption print and the fruits of the spirit on the pear. They are all great, though. Thanks!

Psalm 139 in the Orange/Teal combo; Proverbs 3:6; Joshua 1:9; and the Night Night Subway art.

I am in love with typography of all kinds, and have even tried my hand at making my own. I have a long way to go before mine is anywhere near this pretty. I never realized how hard it was to get it this aesthetically pleasing when digitally creating for posting around the home. I would love a gift card to this lovely shop, and plan to order some of the digital downloads even if I don’t win.

  33. 85

I loved many but two stuck out: the “Practice being brave” and the fearfully and wonderfully made, especially with the child’s name and birth weight…God used that verse in our lives when our son was born under three pounds.

  39. 105

    Gay T says

The Adoption piece. I was adopted as an infant and didn’t grab my adoption in Christ until later. This piece reminds me how very special and blessed I am to be adopted by my earthly and heavenly families.

  40. 112

    Lori Hale says

My favorite was most definitely Joshua 1:9–”Have I not commanded you? Do not be terrified or discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” This was our “theme verse” when our son was diagnosed with leukemia 6 years ago. He is now happy, healthy and in remission, and this verse hangs above his bed! :) Very cool website, by the way. And love your blog! :)

  41. 113

    Joy Kaye says

My favorite verse in has always been Isaiah 40:31…but as I look through these prints, I have also fallen in love with Psalm 127:1 and I really like the Joshua 1:9 print. (Too bad our Fruit of the Spirit themed VBS is this week! That print would’ve been FANTASTIC for it!)

Boy…It’s kinda hard to pick just one to call my “favorite”! But, since I’ve now bookmarked the site, I can pick and purchase anytime now! Thanks for sharing this great little shop! :)

Great shop and a great cause! I love the “Be Kind” print. My kids are 4 and 1 1/2 and sibling rivalry is starting to show up. I feel like I am saying this a lot lately so it would be a great visual reminder for everyone, even those who can’t read yet ;)

  45. 118

A beautiful shop! I especially love the Mary Tyler Moore quote: “Take chances, make mistakes. You have to fail in order to practice being brave.” I want one for me and one for all of my sisters. :)

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for rookie blog writers? I’d really appreciate it.
