The Day After Halloween

We robbed the hood last night of their candy.

And then after the kids went to bed, I stole my favorite chocolate out of their buckets. It’s what I like to call a tax.

I ate a mini Kit Kat bar at 2 am. I sort of regret that.

I really thought about doing this, but we have enough drama.

Y’all have a great weekend!

We dumped all the candy into a big pile, and sorted it out. Since no one in the house likes the same stuff it works for us. Daddy got the snickers and nut filled candies, cause he loves nuts, I got the butter fingers and toffee and anything coconut, my weird daughter only likes plain chocolate and peanut butter cups. My son is not as picky. He took all the suckers and hard candies. The stuff no one likes will go to my office to rot in a bowl for visitors to pick at.

We definitely have “taxes” also. After all, I am the one who takes them to church and to the neighborhood for all this candy! I have eaten 4 today already…I think the candy ban (for myself) will begin tomorrow :)

The Wonderbars…..they’re all mine now!! hahahaha
And I sort out all the other chocolate that I am of course certain they will not like, put it in a ziploc bag and hide it in the freezer.
but honestly, with 3 kids – we got at least 5 pounds of candy last night. they would be eating until Easter if I didn’t set some aside.

I love how we all have such different tastes! I bought Kit Kats to hand out because I don’t personally care for them. But a Baby Ruth or a Twix is not safe from me. Your children are adorable!
