Sometimes when I stop and take a deep breath and really look at my life, I can’t believe where God has led my family.
I can’t believe our small individual yeses have formed a big collaborative yes that funds two maternity homes and now a transition home that will welcome the 40th pregnant teen mom this year in Kenya. I can’t believe we have a subscription club with thousands of members that supports thousands of women with job empowerment in 25 countries. I can’t believe that homeless moms who used to prostitute and beg are now an artisan group. I can’t believe we have a brick and mortar retail store and a giant barn that houses hundreds of volunteers in my town.
But seeing is believing and it’s undeniable we are apart of the miraculous.
It’s been 7 years of going back and forth between continents, sharing the highs and lows, the victories and defeats, the desperate heartache and beauty for ashes moments, the needs and the miracles.
But you know that. Because you’ve been with me every step of the way.
You have read and commented. You have prayed and given. You have bought and supported. You wear it and share it. You have cried and sacrificed. You have filled up my inbox with love.
You have been club members and monthly sponsors, our Team Mercy advocates and Miles for Mercy runners. You have been our donors, our Gala attenders. You have been our people who show up. Again and again.
You have been my community.
You have been my Aaron, holding up weary arms.
You have been an answer to prayer.
There have been miracles and you have been a part of the miraculous, every step of the way.
I don’t always change the world. But when I do, I invite you to come with me.
I can’t believe that right here, right now, while you’re reading these words, I’m on a plane heading back to Kenya with my family.
And you’re going with me.
