2nd Benefit Day: Scentsy Package

Want your house to smell divine?

Or at least not like sticky, messy children and pets? Scentsy is your answer!

What is Scentsy?

Independent Scentsy Consultants sell wickless candles, ceramic warmers, and a variety of fragrance products.  The ceramic warmers house a low-watt light bulb that slowly melts the Scentsy Bar or Scentsy Brick, which releases fragrance oil, filling your home with one of more than 80 distinctive, long-lasting scents.  And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot, or lead.  Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to traditional candles.

My Story

After falling asleep several times with candles still lit, I knew I needed something that was safe and wouldn’t burn my house down.  I had heard of Scensty, but it wasn’t until I smelled the Blueberry Cheesecake scent that I decided to host a Scensty party.  It smelled amazing, I had to have it (and what better way than to get it for FREE with the hostess credits)!  I started looking through the catalog and there were so many cute warmers and a lot of scents that looked like they would smell amazing.

I contacted a consultant and had some family and a few friends over for a couple house to browse and smell all of the sample scents.  By the time they were all done putting in their orders, I received over $150 in FREE product and 4 items at HALF price!  How simple!  I started thinking right then how easy it would be to make a little extra money each month to cover my new love of Scentsy.  The products honestly sold themselves  (I had a basket party and there wasn’t a presentation at my party)!  What I love most about it is that it isn’t just for females.  They make several warmers and scents that guys will love too!

Gift Ideas:

Holiday (Got all of my grandparents them so we don’t have to worry about them burning their houses down with candles.  Plus it’s never too early to start holiday shopping and getting some names checked off that To Buy For list.)Birthday, House Warming (Just gave my friends one for their first home.  They LOVE it!) Graduation (Many universities do not allow candles to be burnt in dorms, we also have a college collection of warmers) Wedding/Shower, Baby Shower (Really cute baby warmers for the nursery.  Can’t wait for another friend of mine to get pregnant so I can gift one to them!)

Really it’s endless.

Types of Parties:

Home Party, Open House, Basket Party, Catalog/Outside Order

We also do Fundraisers!

2nd Benefit Day: Stanley-Fisher Bed & Breakfast

Could you use a little getaway?  How does a nights stay at a delightful Bed & Breakfast sound?

You could enjoy a 1 room, 1 night stay at The Stanley-Fisher Bed & Breakfast in Matagorda, Texas. Value: $119

Stroll along the beach, go fishing or bird watching, tour the antique shops and historic buildings of Matagorda, or retreat to the house and take pleasure in the serene surroundings, all during your stay at the Stanley-Fisher House Bed and Breakfast.

The Stanley-Fisher House, one of the first houses ever built in Texas, is listed as a Texas Historic Landmark. In 1832, Samuel Rhoads Fisher, of Philadelphia, built the house for his family. Fisher, one of 300 colonists recruited by Stephen F. Austin, was First Secretary of the Republic of Texas Navy and a signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence. It is very likely that Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston were guests in the house from time to time.

The house has withstood the tests of time and elements, and has been restored to its original splendor with modern amenities for your comfort. We welcome you to relax in our home, in your private bedroom, or on our screened-in porch. Enjoy a home-cooked breakfast served in the dining room by your hosts, or choose to receive a breakfast basket delivered to your room.

Innkeepers Rik and Peggy Stanley will be happy to give you a tour of Matagorda, recommend restaurants nearby, and provide you with accommodations to make your stay pleasant and memorable.

“At the Stanley-Fisher House, our home is your home.”

Call 979-863-2920 or e-mail pstanley1553@sbcglobal.net to make your reservations. Visit the website, www.stanley-fisher.com, for more information.
