It’s Time for A List

November 19, 2019 by Kristen

  1. It’s the time of the year where if I don’t write it down, it doesn’t get done. Anyone else? I, mean, like yesterday, I actually wrote down on my To Do List, turn laundry over for the load that I’ve restarted in my washer twice since Sunday because I literally cannot.remember.
  2. Two of my kids were in a local community production of Frozen Jr. and my husband and I helped with sets for weeks and I ran the box office. It was so fun and I’m super proud of my kids but they are tired of my Let it Go jokes.
  3. I did decorate my mantle yesterday for Christmas. I figured it I try to tackle one small area at a time, I’ll be done by New Year’s. I’m so excited to add these to my tree this year.
  4. I’m hosting my first Thanksgiving Dinner (ever) this year. I should probably write out a menu and be panicking about this. All I know is that I’m using my cute wooden fair trade items from the webcast box. So, yeah, food is up in the air but it will look cute.
  5. Oh, we have less than 80 webcast boxes left and I’m super happy about that. You should totally get one.
  6. I finally finished binge-watching Downtown Abbey. Tell me what I should watch next?!
  7. Earlier this month, I flew to NYC with my son for a little Broadway action. It was the sweetest three days. This weekend, he’s visiting the college he’s attending next year. I really need to cry about this.
  8. Dec. 16 is the last day to order all this Christmas goodness.
  9. This fall (heck, year) has been chaos and madness and a whole lot of goodness at Mercy House Global. I’m so tired and weary in a way that sleep won’t fix and I’ve got Dec. 12 circled on my calendar because it’s the very last thing of the year that I have to do…so, I’m of course, crawling to it. My family is planning for some sweet time together and I can’t wait.
  10. I plan to take a big fat break from my blog, podcast, writing and work break so you’ve been warned.
  11. When I return, it will most likely be to talk about my new book. Yikes!

Next binge watch should be “As Time Goes By”. Not sure if it is available on a streaming service. I have the box set. So much fun to watch.

For stuff I am really struggling with remembering to get done (like the laundry thing when the to do list & my memory aren’t enough), I set reminders on my phone. It helps me a lot.

Only 80 boxes left?!! Such an answer to prayer. I am hosting our Home for the Holidays event Saturday morning and will check Friday to see if all the boxes are gone. If so, I’ll be reminding my ladies that when they sign up for Fair Trade Friday they’ll get things once a month-not to worry!! I’m so excited for this event. Thank you for the opportunity for me to step out in faith.

Love a good list! Call the Midwife, my all-time favorite! PBS show, but you can binge it on Netflix.

Now you have to see the Downtown Abby movie that just came out a couple months ago!!! I watched the series such a long time ago, it was so nice to see my “friends” again!!!! LOL!
Loved that series and I would love to watch it over again.
