Everyone else, don’t forget: if anyone places an order they should please add “MERCY HOUSE” in the notes of their order and 20% of each doll purchased will be donated to Mercy House.  This offer will be good through Sept. 23, 2011.

There’s just something about a baby doll that is so perfect and pure.

You can’t help but hug them close.

I’ve always been a doll-lover. (Don’t make me break out the studio picture of me and my favorite doll when I was twelve years old. It’s almost as sentimental as my home perm in the picture.) My mom was a doll-maker and even today has the biggest doll collection I’ve ever seen, so my love runs in the family.

I’ve passed the affection down to my girls. They are eleven and four and regularly play with their dolls together. It’s one of my favorite scenes to encourage. It is the epitome of innocence. And let’s face it: a girl is never too old to play with dolls.

When Baby Be Blessed emailed me months ago about creating one-of-kind baby dolls for our precious pregnant girls at Mercy House, I jumped at the chance, knowing that this would probably be the first doll they’d ever owned. Being able to give these dolls to our first three girls while I was in Kenya was such an amazing experience for my family.

Seeing the dolls being hugged and held by our girls who’ve been through so much was touching…knowing the Word of God was written in their own language (a feature on the tummy over every doll made by Baby Be Blessed)  was priceless.

This is no ordinary doll company. Each doll is lovingly created to be a blessing for it’s recipient. I have been so impressed with the tender, generous heart behind this doll-making company and cannot recommend it enough!

Today, Baby Be Blessed is offering a $56.00 Gift Voucher for a (winner’s choice) Personalized Doll to one lucky winner! Please take a minute to shop around and tell me what your favorite doll is in the comment section of this post…what color eyes, hair, etc would you pick out?

I’m also happy to announce if anyone places an order they should please add “MERCY HOUSE” in the notes of their order and 20% of each doll purchased will be donated to Mercy House.  This offer will be good through Sept. 23, 2011.

This giveaway ends on Thursday.

She would have light brown hair and porcelain blue eyes, pink dress in a strong print for an awesome little fighter. Sweet baby Kloe, turned 1 in July. She was born 4 months early and weighed 12 oz. Her Mommy and Daddy trusted God knew the plan, and they spread her story as they travelled to be with her daily. God has touched so many across the world and we have come together to form new friendships as we followed Kloe’s progress and lifted her in prayer. Already this little angel has proclaimed God’s awesome power…without a word!

I love these dolls!! I’ve wanted to get my daughter one of these precious dolls since she was a baby, but with one income I could never justify spending $$ on something extra like this. I would love to get Clara a Miss Helen with Caramel Minky Pigtails and dark eyes…. so cute (and something that she could treasure forever)!! I think that I would have to go with Jer 29:11, Prov 3:3, or Prov 3:5-6 in Font D!

  35. 202

    Brooke Cole says

I love these dolls. Thank you for sharing this website with us, what a blessing they’d be to any little girl or boy. If I had to choose a doll, It would be Miss Sophie, with the bright orange fabric and the Colossians 3:12 Scripture. God Bless you.

  36. 203

    says

My daughter is 8 years old an adopted from Guatemala six years ago. We are currently living out the effect of her time in the orphanage and the trauma of neglect. One of her greatest struggles is fear and I think this doll would be a great companion for her. I would choose Mary Margaret with dark hair and dark eyes to match Naomi’s. Her favorite color is purple so I think the amy Butler Paradise Garden Periwinkle fabric would light up her eyes, and I would choose Joshua 1:9 as the verse. She has it on a necklace and reads it often. I think it would bring her great comfort and encouragement as she is traveling this hard part of her journey that the Lord has prepared in advance for her.

  37. 204

    Brandy says

Oh I have been wanting a BBD for my daughter! I would get the Elizabeth doll with caramel hair and the butterfly peasant dress. I didnt see where you could pick the eye color, but if I have a choice: blue.

Fun giveaway! Thanks for the chance!
I would choose Mary Margaret, with muslin skin, burnt orange hair, minky ponies, Font E with the verse 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”

  39. 206

    Joanna says

So hard to choose but I think the Lucy Lou doll looks most like my daughter, Amelia Rose… especially if she had dark eyes, espresso hair & tea-stain muslin skin. Lucy Lou would be cute in a polka dot or Amy Butler print dress or skirt. The verse printed in Font H & this is what I want my daughter to know: 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” As this is embroidered on this doll I want it etched on my daughter’s heart. Thanks for making these wonderful dolls. They truly ARE a blessing to their recipients!
