This time last year, I was in Israel and I visited the cave where historians believe baby Jesus was born.
There were cheap trinkets, silly souvenirs and paper posters of our Savior being sold near the holy site. It had become a place for some to make a buck.
It reminded me a little of what we’ve done with Christmas. It’s hard to find Jesus in the middle of mall madness, in the center of the commercialism.
We have to look for Him past the distractions.
Christmas is an opportunity to focus our hearts on things that really matter… family, faith, friends and fair trade.
What better way to do all of the above when we purchase beautiful fair trade items that are unique and have a meaningful story behind them?

Thank you so much for creating the Home for the Holidays webcast. It strikes just the right chord to share your message and ministry with such love, grace, hope, and humor. I am so excited to share it with the women in my church in just a couple of weeks!
