I met Gussy at Blissdom this year.
And I liked her a lot.
Even before she gave the (in)Courage writers these gorgeous laptop bags (only I use mine as an all purpose slash purse slash laptop slash everything bag).
She is a self-taught, talented seamstress. She makes the most darling wallets, pouches and bags I’ve ever seen. Plus, she’s adorable and totally looks like a Gussy, although her name is not.

About Gussy:


“Gussy is a line of ruffled accessories. Each ruffle is machine sewn free-hand style, making each ruffle unique. About 16 months ago I sat down at my kitchen table — I wanted to learn how to sew. And here I am now, offering wallets, zipped pouches of all sizes, laptop bags, and note cards (all with my signature ruffle) to those that love a little flair!”

  12. I love the baby blankets. I have been trying to knit or crochet baby blankets for my baby gifts now, and with a move, there is a baby in September who is probably going to miss out…unless I win the gift cert, in which case she is getting a sweet blanket.

    Oh, was I supposed to be something for me – I love giving a good gift! That works!

  13. Oh my lovely! My favorite is the b/w bag with the yellow ruffle in the header – though I see it's not for sale right now. I'd love to fill it with my calendar, keys, phone, and then keep it organized with a Lovely Gus, a Skinny Gus and a Ruffle Gus inside! Probably after that, my laptop wouldn't fit anymore!

    I really like the Lovely Gus – Limited Edition, floral zipped pouch – 3, which is decorated with a pretty floral fabric and dark reddish ruffle. So pretty!

  38. I really like big bags for the laptop but would personally like to own the little zipper poach. I use currently pencil bags in my purse to organize and I think that a super cute bag would be spectacular.

  48. I have a big ol' laptop so I'd need the Gus for Work laptop bag. But I also really like the zippered pouches, and I can only imagine the fun my 2 year old would have with a small zippered pouch to carry around her daily treasures in. I love the ruffles!

  61. Aaaaah! I LOVE the yellow/black/white checkbook cover! I just got a new purse so of course all my purse-related accessories need to change in order to match. It's perfect!
    Oh, and I love the grass green baby blanket as well.

  84. I would love the checkbook cover. My hubby has accidentally grabbed mine at times and caused me to panic thinking I'd lost it. I don't think he would ever accidentally grab those cute checkbooks. Love it! I also love the notecards. I try to write lots of notes of encouragement and I love to use beautiful notecards.
